Travertine, Marble and Limestone floors get dirty just like every other flooring type. Natural stone floors are different from porcelain or ceramic tiles and requires a very different approach to cleaning. The majority stone floors are easily damaged by using the wrong type of chemical cleaner. With our years of experience we understand the ideal way to clean various types of stone floor. We can restore your floor to its original elegance.
We all know how dirty bathroom and kitchen countertops can become.
We use high temperature steam to sanitize each countertop as well as removing all mineral and hard water deposits. This guarantees that not only is the surface free of germs, but it looks great as well.
The grout lines of ceramic or porcelain tend to get filthy way before the tile surface does. At Suva Tile we can clean both surfaces simultaneously with our singular cleaning process. We always return your furniture to its original location when the cleaning procedure is finished. We usually recommend applying a sealer to keep your floor looking good for longer and make subsequent cleanings easier.
All natural stones and most of the grout used these days is porous. This means that those surfaces will easily soak up any liquid when they get wet. Now something as simple as a water spill is nothing to fear, but food, drinks or even pet accidents are a different scenario. Severe damage can quickly be brought on by these liquids. This is why we specifically recommend the application of a sealer to guard against these accidents. Having said that, they several variations of sealers. Sealers can be water or solvent based, topical or penetrating, clear or color enhancing or color changing. There is no single “best sealer” to choose, it all depends on your particular circumstances and preferences. We will go over all the possibilities with you and help you choose what’s best for your home.
- Seal the surface of your stone and maintain the natural look (clear penetrating sealer)
- Seal without changing the grout color (clear penetrating sealer)
- Seal the surface of your stone and bring out more of the natural colors (enhancing penetrating or topical sealer)
- Seal the surface of your stone and make it shine (topical sealer)
- Seal and change the color of your grout (color seal)

Natural stones contain many distinct properties. Chances are the stones in your house are 20 million years old or older. They can polished to a mirror like finish, or they can dull without any shine whatsoever. Depending on the style of your home and your personal preference, most times the same stone can be modified to your preference. There are a number of ways to put make stone shine. Here at Suva Tile we favor the “old school” method of polishing which leaves the longest lasting and most beautiful finish. This strategy does not use any chemicals to alter the stone, but instead a series of diamonds is used to polish the surface to your desired outcome. No dust is produced and we use only diamonds and water.
What can we polish:
- Bathroom Vanities
- Counter Tops
- Tub Surrounds
