Topical Sealer for Porcelain
Washington, Utah
I am not easily swayed by marketing claims made by manufacturers. Up until now, I was completely against applying a topical sealer to either ceramic or porcelain tiles. This porcelain plank flooring had both dull and shinny finishes combined tougher in the same carton. When installed, the look was frankly terrible. It appeared that two different products were put down by mistake. The homeowner hated the floors in her new home so badly she wanted to move. Their frustration led to them to a commercial grade topical sealer that sounded promising. The manufacturer claimed their product would bond to the porcelain and provide a consistent sheen on all the pieces of tile. After much discussion I skeptically agreed to give the product a try. Well, let me just say that this product changed my mind. The sealer was somewhat difficult to apply evenly on the wood grain textured porcelain tiles, however the finished look is fantastic! This sealer evened out all the inconsistencies and made the floor simply stunning. Both the homeowners and myself and very pleased with the outcome.
