St. George Tile & Stone Services
We provide general maintenance tailored to your needs. This is something we recommend getting done on a regular schedule, like getting an oil change every 3000 miles. When it comes to basic cleaning and sealing services your best choice is “keeping up” as opposed to trying to “catch up”. Away for the hot summer months? We can have your home clean and ready for you to return.
- Residential Maintenance
- Commercial Maintenance
A common misconception is the natural stones used in your home are a low or zero maintenance surface. While tough and resilient, they can be damaged from a wide array of daily living mishaps. A stone floor may seem bulletproof, but drop a heavy object on it and it could crack. Moving a couch or piece of furniture across the floor can leave a scratch. The bar stools at your kitchen island can dull the stone flooring underneath them. You know how harsh Southern Utah’s blowing sands can be on your floor. Food, drinks, beauty products and pets can all damage acid sensitive stones. A contractor working inside your house can accidentally damage your flooring. A cleaning business can use the incorrect product and cause damage. The good news is that all of these things can be restored by the experts at Suva Tile.
Restoration Services we Provide:
- Etch Removal
- Grinding & Polishing to your desired Finish
- Lippage Removal (uneven stones)
- Scratch Removal
- Stone & Tile Replacement

All floors can accumulate dirt with regular usage.
When you have natural stone floors such as Travertine, Marble, or Limestone, those floors get dirty as well. Natural stone flooring is different from porcelain or ceramic tiles and requires a very different approach to cleaning. Most stone floors are easily damaged by using the wrong chemical cleaner. We have the knowledge to recognize the difference, leaving you with a clean floor you can be happy with once again.
Kitchen and bathroom countertops get dirty as well.
Along with removing the hard water and mineral deposits, we sanitize each countertop with high temperature steam. This guarantees the surface not only looks great but is germ free as well!
The grout lines of ceramic or porcelain tend to get filthy long before the tile surface does. At Suva Tile we can clean both surfaces simultaneously with our unique cleaning process. Furniture that needs to be moved and cleaned underneath gets returned to its original location. We generally suggest applying a sealer to keep your floor looking great for longer and make subsequent cleanings much easier.
The majority of the grout used today is porous as is all natural stones. This simply means when these surfaces get wet they can absorb virtually any liquid rather easily. Water spills are no problem, but what about drink, food, children or pet accidents? All of those liquids can quickly cause severe damage. This is precisely why we primarily recommend a sealer application to protect against these mishaps. There are many different kinds of sealers. Generally speaking they fall into one of multiple basic categories: water based or solvent based, penetrating or topical, clear or color enhancing or color changing. There isn’t a single “best sealer” to choose, it all depends on your particular preferences and circumstances. We all advise you of all the different options and help you make the very best choice for your home.
- Remove a sealer or coating you do not like (stripping)
- Seal the surface of your stone and maintain the natural look (clear penetrating sealer)
- Seal the surface of your stone and make it shine (topical sealer)
- Seal without changing the grout color (clear penetrating sealer)
- Seal and change the color of your grout (color seal)
- Seal the surface of your stone and bring out more of the natural colors (enhancing penetrating or topical sealer)

Natural stones are distinctive in numerous ways. The ones in your home are at least 20 million years old. They can be dull without any shine or reflectivity or highly polished to a mirror like finish. The benefit is the majority of the times these stones can customized to fit your own personal preference and style. There are a number of ways to put make stone shine. For the most beautiful and longest lasting finish we at Suva Tile prefer using the “old school” technique of polishing. This method has proven to last for the long-term. This procedure does not use any chemicals to alter the stone, but rather a series of diamonds is used to polish the surface to your preferred result. We only use diamonds and water to guarantee that no dust is produced.
What can we polish:
- Tub Surrounds
- Counter Tops
- Bathroom Vanities
David Bonasera have been involved in consulting and expert witness testimony for the past twenty years. This happens when the client has a contractor that installs stone or tile and the job takes a turn and there is a problem with the installation whether it be cracking tiles, yellowing white marble tiles, substrate failures, or a loose floor because of the lack of proper bonding. I use tile and stone Forensics to check moisture, looking to walls, infrared technology, sound testing, deflection, and proper installation of stone and tile according to ANSI, TCNA, and NSI guidelines. Dave currently sits on the technical committee for the NSI, (National Stone Institute) and help write practices for the natural stone industry.
